Kareem Matthews started his comedy career at the University of California San Diego in a school talent show as a dare!! Before long he was a regular at the world famous Comedy Store in La Jolla, California where he was featured in “The Main Room” a documentary film that followed the Store’s young, up and coming comics.After graduating from U.C.S.D. Kareem returned home to Los Angeles and continued his career working the local clubs such as the Improv, Laff Factory, Comedy Store and Ice House.Shortly after he was selected to participate as a “New Face of Comedy” in Montreal’s Just For Laughs Festival. Kareem then started receiving television exposure making his 1^st television appearance on B.E.T’s “Comic View”. Kareem has since been frequently seen on such shows as Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend”, Comics Unleashed and the syndicated Comedy.TV. Kareem has also since branched off into acting co-starring in indie films “Frostbite” and, “The Indestructible Jimmy Brown” and appearing in dozens of national commercials for McDonalds, Coors Lite, Direct TV, Digiorno Pizza and Boost Mobile just to name a few.
