Are there any age restrictions?
We are an 17+ venue.
14-16 may attend with a parent or legal guardian.
What does it mean when a show is a Special Event?
Shows that are labeled Special Event have restrictions to purchasing tickets. Discounts and promotions are not accepted.
What is the difference between Reserved and General Admission seating?
Reserved tickets are seats that we save for you in the Showroom. Patrons who purchase Reserved seats will be given the best available seats for the size of their party. These tickets can only be pre-purchased online. General Admission seats are available on a first-come, first-sat basis. The earlier you arrive, the better your seating will be. General Admission seats may be pre-purchased online or you may make a reservation over the phone. General Admission tickets expire 45 minutes prior to showtime. All reservations, including online purchases, EXPIRE at showtime.
What time should I arrive?
Our showroom with full bar and food service is open nightly @ 6:30PM. General Admission tickets must be claimed 30 minutes prior to showtime. All reservations, including online purchases, must be claimed by showtime.
Does The Comic Strip accept credit cards?
We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and debit cards. No personal checks accepted.
What is the refund policy?
All sales are final. There are absolutely no refunds or exchanges.
Is there a drink minimum?
Instead of a drink minimum, we have a two-item minimum in the Showroom (e.g. 1 soda and 1 appetizer). Items purchased outside the showroom before the show do NOT count toward the two-item minimum.
Should I research the comedian before attending a show?
Yes. Comedy is subjective and certain comedians are not for everybody. Watching a YouTube clip or reading the headliner's biography is a great way to get insight on the expected performance.
What is the Showroom like? How does seating work?
The Showroom arrangement is similar to a cabaret theater with chairs surrounding tables, facing the stage. With friendly and discreet table service, we ensure you won't miss any of the action. Reserved ticket holders are given priority seating nearer to the front of the house. General Admission seating is on a first-come-first-serve basis.
How long do the shows typically last?
Shows are usually between an hour and a half and an hour and forty-five minutes.
Is there a dress code?
Nice, casual attire. NO sweats or sports shorts, NO sleeveless shirts (Men).
Does The Comic Strip offer Military discounts?
Yes, Active, Reserve, Retired & Dependents with proper ID are admitted free on Thursdays & Sundays, half price on Friday & Saturdays for regular shows. This offer is NOT valid for "Special Event" shows.
Does The Comic Strip offer group discounts?
Large pre-paying groups may qualify for a discount, contact us for more information.
Can the club be rented out?
Yes, we have a wide variety of options when it comes to events. Full room rental, private shows, office parties, Military Hail & Farewells can be arranged with food and beverage packages. Simply call the club and ask for more information.
Where can I park near the club?
Airway Junction Shopping Center features a large lit parking lot in front of the club. The Club accepts no responsibility for vehicles or items left in vehicles.
Is your club smoke-free?
Yes, all public buildings in El Paso are smoke, e-cig & vape free by law.
Is the Comic Strip Handicap Accessible?
The club is Handicap Accessible and meets or exceeds code.
Does The Comic Strip have an Open Mic night?
Occasionally, when we do it will be listed on our calendar. We are a "Showcase" club and prefer to concentrate on proven professional acts.
Are cameras allowed in the club?
Patrons may take photographs BEFORE or AFTER the show. Taking photographs, filming, videotaping or other recording of shows without the written consent of the club and the artist is strictly prohibited. Patrons who abuse this policy will have all content erased and you will be ejected immediately.

Do you do anything special for birthdays?
Yes, we have a "Birthday Club" you can sign up by hitting the tab on our homepage. The sign up form must be filled out completely and may take up to 2 weeks to process.
